Finally, a GoDaddy shortcoming became a blessing. In order to register colin.sh, I had to explore some other registrars. And even though nic.sh doesn’t list iwantmydomain, plenty of Google results do. I thought it was fitting to give a shout out to iwantmydomain with my first blog post. If anyone from iwantmydomain is reading this, please consider changing your own domain. It is really very dumb.
I was honestly drawn to the comparably low price of .sh domains ($49 vs. ~$90 at other registrars), but the interface is also quite lovely. I get a kick out of really simple design, and it is quite simple. It doesn’t feel like I’m lacking any features, but time will tell. At the time, I’m not sure if I would have paid extra to use iwantmydomain, but I was sure willing to pay less.
